Zhou Peichun and his studio produced albums of paintings depicting occupations, costumes and customs of China, and sold them to foreigners. To meet the growing demand for these paintings, many of the works from his studio were actually made by his disciples, after the originals by himself. By the beginning of the Repulic of China (around 1912), he was still selling his works, and claimed he had been creating "this kind of painting" for more than 50 years. Institutions such as the British Museum now holds some of his works.
