A SONG STYLE LONGQUAN CELADON GLAZED COSMETIC BOXChina, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) or earlier. Of circular form, the sides molded with vertical ribs, the cover with flowers on scrolling leafy vines in low relief. The interior applied with three small cups, all separated by curved lotus stems. Covered overall in a deep celadon green glaze save for the unglazed base burnt to orange in the firing. Condition: Very good condition with minor traces of wear and age, firing irregularities, minor notches to the rims, and a chip to one spine of the lotus stems. Provenance: French private collection.
