A VERY LARGE KHMER-STYLE SANDSTONE FIGURE OF AN APSARA, c. 1920sSoutheast Asia, 19th - 20th century, or possibly earlier. Sculpted as a standing apsara, holding a lotus stem in the right hand, the face with downcast eyes, framed by elongated earlobes and long braids, dressed in a dhoti, and wearing a crown. Consists of three segments.Provenance: British private collection, acquired in 2015 in the British auction market.Condition: Shows chips and losses, and surface wear.Dimensions: Height 106.5 (excl.
