|送子观音题材的造像在北宋时期已有之，到明清时期大量出现。《妙法莲华经·观世音普门品》云：“若有女人，设欲求男，礼拜供养观世音菩萨，便生福德智慧之男；设欲求女，便生端正有相之女。”送子观音即典出于此。这件观音送子像即是以和田白玉雕琢而成。玉料质地细腻，玉色纯正，观音造型接近生活，丰额颐面，修眉细目，鼻梁挺直，目光前视，面露微笑。身侧手怀一男童，呈立姿，笑容满面。整体刀法流畅，将人物雕塑的生动传神。
