|插屏为清代重要的宫廷陈设品，常置几案上，是用于陈列、摆设的观赏性小型屏风，多以玉、石、漆木为之，置于砚端可障风尘。此插屏以整块白玉雕琢而成，包浆润泽，色纯而雅。插屏正面浮雕一高士临壁挥毫，身旁两小童相随，各执砚台书籍，面目表情稚嫩可爱，跟随高士，亦步亦趋。远近层次分明，布局如画，凹凸有致，立体感极强。群山之间，巍峨高耸，山石嶙峋，苍松虬立，山涧溪流，曲径回环，令人心旷神怡。此屏虽造型小巧，但别具清代宫廷文房玉器陈设之风格，置于书房案桌，自有一番“文房案头砚有屏，挡风蔽日笔生花”的情趣。
