|东方朔偷桃是中国绘画及工艺美术作品中的传统题材。东方朔，西汉人，汉武帝近臣。因生性诙谐滑稽而著名；道家方士皆称他为神仙。相传三岁时既能背诵天下奇书；少年时曾游阴府冥都，饮丹霞浆和玄天黄露，归途遇苍虎，驯为坐骑；又曾三度到天宫蟠桃园，偷摘西王母娘娘为玉皇大帝所栽植的寿桃；寿桃成熟须九千年，食之后长寿成仙。故后世以东方朔偷桃故事为祈福祝寿之意。此像白玉质，玉质细密纯净，局部巧雕。人物慈眉善目，长须飘飘，着交领宽袖长袍，一手捧桃，一手执桃枝负于背后。刀法沉凝浑厚，仪象雍容有神，饶有古趣。而在人物神态的刻画上，开相仙风道骨，天真自然，将东方朔诙谐的形象表现得栩栩如生。
