|宋以降，文人士大夫皆以哥窑为文房清供之逸品，尤其晚明收藏嗜古之风盛行，哥窑以古朴典雅之气质折服众多钦慕者，张谦德《瓶花谱》云：“尚古莫如铜器，窑则柴、汝最贵而世绝无之，官、哥、宣、定为当今第一珍品。”乾隆好古，对哥釉更是情有独钟，在《清高宗御籹诗集》中乾隆皇帝对历代陶瓷赞咏诗共一百九十九首，其中赞咏哥窑为二十首。另据乾隆内务府造办处活记档，尤其在乾隆早年，每一次仿烧前代瓷器名品的名单中，哥釉一项数量不少。
