作者简介：邵芳，女，1918年出生，著名美籍华人国画家、陶艺家、建筑师。祖籍江苏常州，现居美国。她是国画大师陈少梅的入室弟子、是第一位到敦煌临摹壁画的女画家，她也美国著名建筑师莱特(FrankLloydWright：1867-1959)的高足，她还是清末太子少保、中国第一代著名实业家盛宣怀的侄曾孙媳妇。2002年5月18日，时年84岁的盛邵芳，获西维吉尼亚大学授予人文艺术名誉博士学位。
