此拍品撇口，深腹，平底，圈足，宫碗形制，胭脂红在康熙晚期、雍正早期是进口的，且以金为着色剂，色料当时就十分昂贵。胭脂红釉用吹釉之法施釉，将竹管蒙上细纱，多遍吹釉，釉层虽薄，但吹施均匀，无“雪花”瑕疵，经800℃低温烘烧而成，其色如仕女化妆所用之胭脂，故名“胭脂红”，也称“金红”。陈浏《陶雅》谓之：“华贵中之佚丽者也。”赞日：“匀净明艳，殆亡伦比。紫晶逊其鲜妍，玫瑰无其娇丽。“从传世品看，雍正朝胭脂红釉瓷器造型有瓶、罐、盘、碗、杯、碟等小件器皿，均胎体轻薄，玲珑俊秀，多数为内白釉，外胭脂红釉，极少数为内外均施胭脂红釉。
