此件冲耳炉形制素雅，侈口束颈，上置一双圆孔冲天耳，鼓腹浑圆，足形较为挺拔尖削，是十分标准的崇祯官造冲天耳炉形制。炉内底毛膛，可见麻子地与锈痕。外壁亦覆有斑驳锈痕，其中露铜处现出崇祯官造铜炉标准的栗壳色，莹莹宝光掩于皮色之下，与铜绿相衬尤具莹莹古意。其款文结体劲瘦，转折利落，字体风格有鲜明的明末拙朴之风，时代特征鲜明。整器造型平正，双耳略飞逸但不致喧宾夺主，鼓腹略垂亦使整炉重心下垂，置于案上甚具沉稳端庄之感，兼有颇为标准的崇祯年款，属崇祯官造冲天耳炉中的标准器。
