松竹梅纹是经久不衰的文人画题材，既可出现在形制端庄典雅的梅瓶和瓷碗上，也可绘于笔盒及蟋蟀罐上。罐体微微外鼓，顶部有下凹式器盖，盖面周边环绕一圈朵花纹，下凹的盖面绘画松竹梅纹。松树和梅树二者并蒂连枝，一起从草丛中生长，枝干顺着圆形的器面往上延伸，合拢成圆形的轮廓，矮小的嫩竹穿插其间，构成生机盎然的景象。 罐体外壁也以松竹梅纹为饰。一株松树由腹底往上生长，曲折劲瘦的松枝犹如遒劲的蛟龙，环绕于罐体外壁，茂密的松针团簇成圆球状，修长的梅枝往左边横斜，枝上蓓蕾点点，数朵梅花展瓣开放。 松树与梅树的枝干合绕罐体一周，二者交会处绘画竹子，竹干纤细挺直，叶片秀丽分明，展现岁寒三友的精神意义。
