此件玉壶春瓶，瓶身描绘青花龙纹饰，其构图有致，整体造型高雅端庄，简洁优美，龙纹栩栩如生，四周辅以王字云纹，也称壬字云纹，下半部衬托海水波浪纹，大气磅礴，非技高艺精者不能胜任，确为宣德时期的精美之作。龙纹是明清官窑瓷器典型装饰纹样之一，形态多样，有云龙纹、穿花龙、赶珠龙、莲池龙、海水龙纹等。明初朝廷曾下令景德镇御窑厂烧造带有龙凤纹样的瓷器，并禁止民窑烧制。
