吉州窑位于江西吉安，因为窑址在永和镇，所以又称“永和窑”。吉州窑在制瓷工艺上集南北之大成，此瓶在装饰上，白地黑花，剔画结合，与磁州窑白地黑花瓷风格相近。玉壶春瓶是瓷器中常见的器形，宋代定型，有一定实用功能，例如用作盛酒器。“柳成金穗草如茵，载酒寻花共赏春”，古人春游，携着美酒佳肴，呼朋引伴共赴郊外，或围坐畅饮，或蹴鞠嬉戏，尽享春游之乐。此玉壶春瓶，小巧可爱，又绘蔓草奔鹿纹进行装饰，同款馆藏于海南省博物馆
