释文：今者兴道之会，还尔遂非，再猲八座尚书，欲令便向下座。州县军城之礼，亦恐未然；朝廷公宴之宜，不应若此。今既若此，仆射意只应以为尚书之与仆射，若州佐之与县令乎？不得如上佐事刺史矣。 款识：节临《座位稿》，子贞何绍基。
钤印：子贞、我用我法
何绍基，字子贞，别号东洲居士，晚号蝯叟，湖南道州人。阮元的门生弟子。道光十六年（1836）进士，授翰林院编修，国史馆总纂，官至四川学政。后执教于山东泺源、湖南长沙等地书院。博学多才，书法师颜真卿，上溯周、秦、汉古篆籀及南北朝碑版，真、行书面目独特，意趣高古；篆、隶二体浑厚古拙，自成体势。
