A SPINACH-GREEN JADE MARRIAGE BOWL, CHINA, 18TH CENTURY
The deep, gently rounded sides rise from a tall, flared foot, flanked by two openwork dragon-head handles suspending thick loose rings. Finely carved with a raised band of archaistic kuilong centered by a gankyil symbol, the foot with a band of neatly detailed lappets. The translucent stone of a deep spinach-green hue with dark veining and specks as well as icy inclusions. The overall depth and detail of the carving is remarkable.

From a reputable gallery in London, United Kingdom. The base with an old label, ‘30’.

Condition:
Very good condition with minor wear and minuscule nibbling. The jade with natural inclusions and fissures, some of which have developed into small hairline cracks.

十八世紀龍首活環菠菜綠玉洗

敞口，斜腹，高底足外撇，兩側是龍首活環。外壁浮雕仿古夔龍紋飾帶；足部有一周芭蕉葉紋飾。半透明的玉石呈深菠菜綠色，帶有深色紋理和斑點以及内沁。細節精美，玉料瑩潤。
