扁瓶器形可溯至早明永乐、宣德青花瓷，清雍正朝复烧大量永乐器形瓷器，细节上亦依循明例，平底、无圈足、蒜头口等，与本品相异。乾隆朝御窑，不囿于器形细节，多方尝试不同形制的器耳，运用如瑞兽、凤鸟、植物造形等，多为仿古风格。本品双龙耳源自青铜，乃当时特例，为多数雍例双耳简素，或无耳。
