光绪十年(1884年)，为庆祝慈禧皇太后50岁寿辰，在慈禧紫禁城旧居储秀宫内，改建“体和殿”，并沿用当年四十寿辰烧造“大雅斋”款瓷器旧例，于光绪十二年(1882年)烧造“体和殿”款瓷器，由景德镇御窑厂专门烧造的供该殿陈设和慈禧皇太后用膳的御用瓷器。
