抱月瓶因腹圆若满月而得名，又叫“福寿瓶”。是受西亚文化影响而出现的器形，此瓶始见于明洪武时期，盛行于永乐、宣德时期，清雍正初仍有烧制，后因雍正帝不喜欢此类器物，曾下令“嗣后宝月瓶不必烧造”，故雍正后期少见，到清乾隆时又有烧制。
