瓶为洗口，直颈，圆折肩，直筒状腹。此器釉色为典型的康熙五彩色。康熙五彩又称“硬彩”，与淡雅柔软的粉彩相对应。此瓶的黄釉、绿釉、珊瑚红均显康熙朝的典型色彩特征，色料浓重，但色浓而不妖艳，蛤蜊光明显。白釉洁净，玉质感强。整个画面采用写实手法，细致入微。脸部用珊瑚红勾勒，因时间久远而产生焦状，这是特征之一。
