北宋大观元年，徽宗皇帝创立汝官窑。当时汝州所辖宝丰、鲁山、郏县、临汝、汝阳五县出产的瓷器，被称作汝瓷。根据考古发掘，汝官窑遗址位于距宝丰县二十多公里的清凉寺。因汝官窑仅存世二十年，流传的汝瓷只有几十件，件件堪称国宝。
