炉口沿外撇，颈部收束，鼓腹圆垂，下弧出圈足，近底外飞。腹上龙首耳，须发后扬，高目卷鼻，精工细铸，孔武有力。质沉音妙，扣之冷泠然。皮色细润，藏经纸色，不喧不燥，华光内敛。炉底减地阳文六字楷书“大明宣德年制”款，结字雄健，线条刚硬，似刀劈斧凿而得。铸款无修，笔道间有刀剑森厉的锋芒，但却是铸款。从侧面说明明代工匠不是做不出纯铸款，而是刻意追求这种具有凌厉风格的字体特点。
