传世海棠式炉大致可分冲耳、兽耳两式。此炉整体铸作四瓣海棠花式，端正典雅，俯瞰如海棠绽放。沿面平，口缘薄，外敞开阔，器壁弧收，出弧底。胫部随形起台，承接四蹄足，势外张。颈器身棠梨之色，包浆醇厚，触感濡润。整器造型美观大方，引人注目。上舒、下张，中间内敛，线条的起伏、折转，成熟于胸，一气呵成，比例堪称完美，铸工精湛。
