此件拍品底款用“曼晞陶艺”印，盖款“顾景洲”，制作年份应为上世纪四十年代中期。此时的顾景舟在宜兴紫砂界声名鹊起，开始接受专门订制。与此同时，仿制他的作品的人也逐渐增加，为此，顾景舟将“武陵逸人”印磨去，自刻“曼晞陶艺”一方，用于自己较为满意的作品上，有意识地让自己的作品向精品化迈进。1979年顾老回忆这枚图章的时候提到“曼，美。晞，将明未明之意。”“石米以上用这图章，所以比较高档的茶壶，都是用此章。”从这点来看，凡用“曼晞陶艺”印者，皆顾景舟先生用心之作。原名景洲，别号曼晞、瘦萍武陵逸人、荆南山樵、壶叟老萍，宜兴川埠上袁村人。中国工艺美术大师，七大老艺人之一，被誉为“紫砂泰斗”
