王琦，1884年出生于江西信江，后迁居江西新建，是中国陶瓷美术大师，也是民国时期景德镇的瓷绘名家。他的艺术生涯始于1901年，当时他来到景德镇，并开始向邓碧珊学习陶瓷绘画艺术和人像绘画艺术。王琦的绘画风格深受扬州八怪中的黄慎影响，黄慎的画风以人物为主，擅长用狂草笔法作画。王琦在吸收了西洋画的技法后，确定了用西画的明暗处理人物头像，同时用写意笔法画衣纹的独特风格。这种风格虽然保留了黄慎的影响，但也为景德镇陶瓷艺术带来了新的气息。琴棋书画瓷板画四条屏瓷板画便是他艺术生涯中的杰作之一，展现了他在陶瓷绘画艺术上的高超技艺和独特风格。
