罗汉髡首，高额圆脸，著右衽僧衣，内服长裙（下摆露出裙褶）。跣足，右足翘搭于左腿，左手扶住右足，右手支撑于座后。身首向右侧，坐于须弥山座。双目凝视，若有所思。此像有浓郁的生活气息，是宋代佛教造像汉化的典型作品。罗汉像用整块木材雕造，座前留出一方平面，上刻“连州弟子吴世质，为男盘会保平安，丁亥。”铭文。“丁亥”为北宋仁宗庆历七年（1047年），“连州”即今广东省连县。该件罗汉像，是连州人吴世质为其子保平安供养所雕。像身涂紫红色（已多处剥落），口涂朱彩，衣下裙褶彩色剥落露出白色，座涂土红色。
