作为青海和田玉的顶级典范，野牛沟玉料产自于青海格尔木，其玉质凝重感极强，油性佳，白度好，玉质相对稳定，不会变灰。上等的野牛沟料，看上去非常厚重，有“白如羊脂、凝如羊脂”的感觉，所以被称为青海料里的“羊脂玉”，十分少见。此对玉杯用料即是产自于青海格尔木的野牛沟，玉质极为细腻油润，糯性好，灯下观之几乎不见玉质结构，宛若凝脂，堪称青海玉料中的“羊脂玉”。对杯的器型亦为别致，杯子外壁饰以八片莲花瓣，从底部看宛若佛手，线条流畅优美，器型圆润饱满，细节处理尤为精致，为茶道妙品。殷建国：苏州玉雕名家
