铭文： 1.肖形似竹，虚心如谷，丝纶经纬，出此启腹，质坚贞而泽润，品既享情逾足，洵隃麋之良友，真他山之步独。鱼山冯敏昌并识。乾隆己酉秋八月望日。2.道光乙未秋厚山氏识于大树山房。此端砚色褐紫，有火捺，翡翠条等石品，配竹节形红木砚盒。冯敏昌（1747-1807），字伯求，号鱼山，广东钦州人，工书法，乾隆十三年翰林，官至刑部主事。书法宗王、褚，工隶书，善画兰竹，苍秀绝俗。
