砚屏形制与独扇式座屏相同，但形体较小，常置几案上，是用作陈列、摆设的观赏性小型屏风，故江南又称台屏。屏心常见的有大理石、嵌瓷片以及玉器等，置于砚端以障风尘之屏，多以玉、石、漆木为之，与立于案头之小屏风类似。此砚屏屏心为青玉质，玉质细腻润泽，颜色均一厚重，高浮雕山水画面，画面层次丰富，细节处理一丝不苟，但见远山迭嶂，树石相间，云烟缭绕，水波荡漾，孤舟横于河边，近处的芦苇则随风飘曳。整器观之精致典雅，自有一股书香文气扑面而来，置于书房案头，自有一番 “文房案头砚有屏，挡风蔽日笔生花”的情趣。陈春波：苏州玉雕名家款识：旨远 附作者收藏证书
