A FINE GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF SAMVARA AND NAIRATMYA, NEPAL, 16th/17th ct., standing in pratyalidhasana on Bhairava and Kalaratri reclining on an embossed lotus base, embracing his consort, the hands holding vajra and ghanta, wearing skirt, scarf curling near his shoulders, mala of skulls and severed heads, bejewelled, his face displaying a severe expression with protruding eyes, his fore-head with third eye, hooked nose, his hair combed in a chignon topped with a ratna and decorated to the sides with skull and half-moon emblem secured with a tiara decorated with skulls, his consort holding karttrika and blood-filled kapala, with inventory number BT 53 - Minor wear, lotos base at the left side slightly disformed
