A RARE METALLIC THREAD AND SILK DRAGON, China, dated Daoguang liunian (=1826), the metal brocaded centre field is decorated with nine five clawed, Imperial dragons, chasing "flaming pearls" and contesting cloud band motifs. The centre field is enclosed by a band of "ruyi"-clouds above a "lishui"-border.
