白玉质，通灵澄澈，清莹温润。圆雕凤鸟而成，凤鸟背上开膛掏腹，以口为滴，赏用合一。以细密阴线描绘尽出，圆刀以示其饱满丰腴，体态健硕。古人以水研墨，砚石旁便需有一物储存清水，唤作水丞，“丞”为辅佐之意。水丞因小巧雅致，最能体现文人雅士的审美情趣，故而在文玩类的工艺品中，属于品位较高的藏品。此件水丞造型独特，构思巧妙，于小件中蕴大气魄，置于案头时时赏玩，悦目怡情。
