19th centuryThe rectangular top with inset 'floating' panel above a pair of heavily carved doors, the left door depicting a pair of female figures carrying baskets of fruit as they cross a bridge and ascend a mountainous path to a retreat high in the clouds, the right door featuring a warrior figure and attendants battling with a dragon amidst waves over a flaming pearl, the door panels each also carved to the interior with a central shou character within a surround of five bats, all over a stepped apron with scroll carved motifs and raised on square-section supports ending in scroll carved feet.112cm high, 112cm wide, 48cm deep.
