|Provenance: Gifted to the vendor's father by Heinrich Harrer (1912-2006), and thence by descent.Harrer was an Austrian mountaineer, sportsman, geographer, and author. He is best known for his autobiographical book Seven Years in Tibet, 1952, which describes his experience as a salaried government official in Tibet during the years of World War II.
