款识：文明 |说明：水盂取精铜而制，外鎏金，保存完好。此水盂敛口，鼓腹，平底，外壁錾刻獣面纹，纹饰立体有浮雕之感，口沿及近底处作连续回纹装饰。此水盂器形小巧规整，纹饰线条流畅，制作一丝不苟，值得细细赏玩。|款者简介：胡文明（1573～1620），明万历年间铸铜工艺名匠，江苏松江府人，根据明人《云间杂志》记载，胡文明擅长铸铜炉与文房器具，按古式制彝、鼎、尊、卣之属极精，价亦甚高，誓不传他姓。时礼帖称“胡炉”，后亦珍之。
