A Chinese ink painting on paper of chicks and shrimp attributed to Qi Baishi. The painting depicts 6 chicks and 2 shrimp and has 2 seals. It is mounted on a silk backing and wooden dowels. Dimensions are: 26 inches tall X 13 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: It is in overall good condition. Provenance: From a collector in Washington DC, whose father in law (Nelson T Johnson) was sent to China by US State Department in 1906 and was US ambassador to the Republic of China from 1935 to 1941.
