A gold finger ring comprising a flat-section hoop with serpent detailing to the coiled tail and extended head, punched scales, pellet eyes, central cell with filigree collar, inset garnet cabochon. Cf. Chadour, A.B. Rings. The Alice and Louis Koch Collection, volume I, Leeds, 1994, item 115 for type. 8.27 grams, 32.25mm overall, 18.38mm internal diameter (approximate size British P, USA 7 1/2, Europe 16.23, Japan 16) (1 1/4"). Property of a London gentleman; acquired before 1970. Very fine condition.
