A slate rectangular plaque with bevelled edges, lateral panels with a column and undulating wreath, tympanum above, vesica below, central cross with herringbone detailing and surrounding wreath; possibly a matrix for ecclesiastical ornaments (?"). 155 grams, 82mm (3 1/4"). Property of a London gentleman; acquired by his father in the 1970s; thence by descent. Fine condition, edge chipped.
