无量寿佛是佛教信仰中极为重要的尊神，千年以来，此佛既能满足现世人间对于寿命的延续追求，又能使众生死后超轮回之苦，往生美好的西方极乐世界。此尊无量寿佛结跏趺坐于莲台之上，大耳垂肩，面形圆润，双肩披帔帛。全像木雕而成，表面髹漆泥金，漆面开片自然，保存极为完整，具有明早期宫廷造像的鲜明特征。由于受材质影响，保存困难现存世数量极少，堪为稀有难得木雕佛像之珍品。
