砚作长方，开牙池椭圆堂。砚面高浮雕老龙两尾，须爪皆张，于波涛云海中跳跃翻腾，神态苍劲有力。此砚砚体方正，作深覆手，四面边墙阴线镌刻海水瑞兽纹，各类祥瑞，随波追逐，其雕琢手法老辣古雅。端溪水岩质地细润坚密，品质极佳。具有明初期典型宫廷研制之特征。【铭文印记】铭文详见本场拍卖之拓片文本
