砚作长方，开倭角方堂，砚首作楼台亭阁，寓意步步高升，其间高浮雕状元拜相图，人物神态生动传神。覆手镌刻名家铭文，书法俊美洒脱。端溪老坑石，质地温润，品质极佳。【铭文印记】铭文详见本场拍卖之拓片文本【胡缋宗】字孝思，一字世甫，号可泉，又号也斋，江苏泰安人。正德三年进士。授检讨。历官右副都御史。
