纵15.4cm；宽10.1cm；高3.7cm
此砚以端溪老坑石入砚，其色灰紫。砚呈长方敞池样，周缘起边线，纤柔中见秀挺；背浅覆手，砚侧铭文“润十端友”四字铭文。【铭文印记】铭文详见本场拍卖之拓片文本【陈端友】名介，字介持，又字荣生，后改名端友。师从扬州碑版雕刻能手张太平学刻砚。后加入了“海上题襟馆金石书画会”，与金石书画家游，尤其得吴昌硕教诲颇深，业益进。曾先后寄居于上海名医徐小圃、余云岫家中，为之琢砚。此砚系江南四大私家藏书楼之一《铁琴铜剑楼》后人所藏，铁琴铜剑楼以藏书质量高、数量多而著称于世。陈端友与其主人私交甚好，此件为端友所藏众多古砚之一，刻款留铭予以赠之。
