A silver-gilt neck torc consisting of seven round section wires with terminal collars of plaited wire, one for the hinge, the other for locking mechanism of pin with security chain of plaited rope work design. 92 grams, 26cm (10 1/4"). From a European collection; previously in a large American collection formed in Chicago, Illinois, USA, in 1995; previously in the Mansees collection; formed 1950s-early 1990s. Very fine condition.
