A silver ring comprising a D-section hoop with scooped shoulders, discoid bezel; possibly later incised inscription to the bezel 'IVNO / M.ANT' (the goddess Juno and personal name 'M[arcus] Ant[onius]') above a star, and 'PA /NT' to the shoulders. Cf. Chadour, A.B. Rings. The Alice and Louis Koch Collection, volume I, Leeds, 1994, item 309 for type. 11 grams, 26mm overall, 19.45mm internal diameter (approximate size British S 1/2, USA 9 1/2, Europe 21.0, Japan 20) (1"). Property of a gentleman; acquired in the late 1960s-early 1970s. Fine condition. A large wearable size.
