1st century BC-1st century AD. A large translucent pale green glass bowl with flat bottom and convex side; to the exterior, twenty long, slender ribs tapering downwards towards the the bottom. Cf. Harden, D. Masterpieces of Glass: The British Museum, London, 1968, item 52 for type. 473 grams, 22cm (8 1/2"). Previously in a private collection since 1990. Very fine condition, some restoration.
