A carved marble bust of a male with laurel-leaf wreath, the a symbol of victory and honor; with short curly hair, forked beard, paenula held at the right shoulder with a disc brooch; dorsal pillar with running tendril motif; possibly an emperor. 2.8 kg, 18cm (7"). Property of a European gentleman; formerly in a German private collection formed in the 1950-1970s, supplied with geologic report No. TL004938, by geologic consultant Dr R. L. Bonewitz. Fair condition.
