1st century BC-1st century AD. A matched pair of hollow-formed gold earrings, each a tapering club of Hercules with applied filigree detailing representing lateral branch-stumps, applied loop. Cf. Marshall, F.H. Catalogue of the Finger Rings, Greek, Etruscan and Roman, in the Department of Antiquities, British Museum, London, 1907, item 2718. 1.77 grams, 26mm (1").
