A glass ewer comprising a hexagonal-section body, tubular neck with flared mouth, applied trail to the underside, strap handle with thumb-pad; moulded body with ornamental panels, the obverse with cross moline. See Lightfoot, C.S. Ancient Glass in National Museums Scotland, Edinburgh, 2007 for discussion. 75 grams, 11cm (4 1/4"). Property of a North London gentleman; acquired on the UK art market before 2000. Fine condition, repaired.
