A substantial parcel-gilt silver ring with keeled hoop and bulb to the underside, flared panels to the shoulders with hatching, square-section shaft with octagonal rosette bezel, incised monogram. Cf. Oman, C.C. Victoria and Albert Museum Catalogue of Rings, reprinted Ipswich, 1993, item 240 for type. 28.13 grams, 40.54mm overall, 19.87mm internal diameter (approximate size British T 1/2, USA 10, Europe 22.33, Japan 21) (1 1/2"). From a private collection; formed 1965-1975. Very fine condition. A large wearable size.
