A framed hand-painted watercolour of a harem (anthapura) with one lady clad in salwar trousers and a diaphanous robe reclining on a couch with handmaidens, three musicians beneath an awning, all in a fenced enclosure; mounted with card reveal and glazed wooden frame, list of names(?) taped to the reverse. 1.1 kg, 33.5 x 41.5cm (13 1/4 x 16 1/4"). Property of an American gentleman; acquired 1970s-1990s. [No Reserve] Fine condition.
