A gold ring comprising a flat-section hoop with scroll detailing, applied plaques to the shoulders, conical bezel with tendril ornament and four applied plaques developing to claws retaining a turquoise(?) cabochon. Cf. Chadour, A.B. Rings. The Alice and Louis Koch Collection, volume I, Leeds, 1994, item 531 for type. 6.18 grams, 22mm overall, 15.26mm internal diameter (approximate size British I, USA 4 1/4, Europe 7.44, Japan 7) (1"). The Signo collection, the property of a West London businessman, formed in the late 1980s-early 1990s. Fine condition.
